Wearing Scrubs on Public Transportation

I rely on public transportation to get around the city. I try to be aware of my surroundings and I’ve noticed a lot of hospital workers wearing their scrubs on the bus or train. That doesn’t make any sense to me. Wikipedia defines scrubs as the sanitary clothing worn by surgeons, nurses, physicians, and other workers involved in patient care in hospitals. The key word is sanitary, and I don’t think wearing scrubs on public transportation is sanitary. The subway isn’t exactly renowned for its cleanly conditions. Scrubs are supposed to be sterile to keep germs and infections from spreading to vulnerable patients. Wearing them on the bus seems to violate that cardinal rule. You trust healthcare workers to be clean. Seeing them rub shoulders with homeless people on public transportation is pretty disheartening. It should be illegal. Write your congressman and voice your complaints if you feel the same way. Maybe someone can start a petition to outlaw the practice. I’m too lazy to take the initiative but I’ll gladly sign my name to the cause.

Grabbing the Wrong Drink

You’re at a party and having a good time. You set your plastic keg cup down for a second and when you go to pick it back up you notice three other identical cups in the vicinity. You can’t remember which one is yours, so you grab the fullest cup and start drinking. A few sips in you realize that it isn’t yours. Fuck it, alcohol kills germs anyway. Grabbing the wrong drink isn’t the biggest mistake you can make.

Hand Sanitzer

Hand sanitizer is a foam, gel, or liquid that you put on your hands to kill germs, viruses, and bacteria. It’s a quick way to make sure you won’t get Ebola before eating. Some people are germaphobes and are constantly sanitizing their hands. The more you use it, the less effective it gets, so don’t use it every five minutes. Some people use it as an excuse to avoid washing their hands with soap and water. The end result is a germ-free hand that still looks fucking filthy. Hand sanitizer doesn’t kill dirt.

Finding a Nug on the Floor

Finding money is cool, but finding weed on the floor is even better. You can ignore the five-second rule if weed is involved. The fire will kill the germs. Germs hate fire. It’s science. Finding a nug on the floor is awesome. It’s like a present from your stoney past. You just have to check it for hair. Burning hair is bad enough, but smoking hair will kill you. It’s science.
