Arizona Grape Lime Rickey

Arizona Grape Lime Rickey is a sparkling grape and lime flavored beverage from Arizona Iced Tea. I don’t know who Rickey is or what he does, but I like his namesake beverage. It’s sweet, it’s crisp, and it makes an excellent mixer. I’m enjoying my Arizona Grape Lime Rickey with a little vodka in it. Actually let me be honest, I’m enjoying my vodka with a little Arizona Grape Lime Rickey in it. Either way, my head is buzzing and my taste buds are happy. I think that’s the sign of a good drink, right?

Arizona Rx Energy Herbal Tonic

Arizona Rx Energy Herbal Tonic is an Invigorating Blend of Green Tea, Tropical & Citrus Fruits, Panax Ginseng, Eleuthero Root, Guarana, Schisandra, and Vitamins A, C, & E. It’s not really healthy for you, so don’t be fooled by that “Herbal Tonic” nonsense. It’s got all kinds of additives and preservatives and it’s loaded with sugar. I’m not sure how energizing it is, but it’s very drinkable and refreshing and gives you a little caffeine buzz. It has a sweet, fruity taste with just a little tartness thrown in for balance. There are a lot of better energy drinks on the market, but the price is what sets this one apart. It’s only 99¢ for a 23-ounce can, which is a good deal. An 8-ounce can of Red Bull costs more than two bucks for comparison. Red Bull is a lot better, but cheap is cheap. And sometimes cheap is good. Try it, you might like it. Even if you don’t, you only wasted a dollar.

Arizona Georgia Peach

Georgia Peach is an iced tea made by Arizona. It’s green tea with ginseng and peach juice. Arizona Green Tea is already invigorating, and the added peach juice is a nice touch. It’s a nice blend. It’s sweet and peachy, but not overwhelmingly so. It’s only 5% juice, so the green tea is still the main flavor. The peach flavor is just a guest star. It comes in the classic Arizona 99¢ tallboy can, which is always a good deal. It’s the perfect caffeine fix when you want something that’s easily drinkable and refreshing. I like it, I would get it again, and I would even give it out as a birthday gift. But I’m also a cheap ass motherfucker.

They Changed the Price

Today was laundry day, so I grabbed my hamper, some detergent, and the exact amount of quarters required, and headed to the Laundromat. I threw my clothes in the washer, plunked down some quarters, and everything was going great. And then it was time to throw my stuff in the dryer. I had the dryer all loaded up and started dropping in my quarters and I noticed that something was different. They changed the price. We are creatures of habit, and laundry is definitely habitual, and so suddenly needing another quarter changes everything. I thought I brought the precise number of quarters necessary, but inflation had other ideas. I didn’t have any cash on me, so I had to resort to asking the other patrons for a spare quarter like a bum. I got a quarter from one reluctant lady so I was able to finish it. She only gave it to me because she was caught off guard by the price change too and felt sympathy for me. I know that it’s a sign of progression and economic growth, but part of me dies whenever they change the price. I would probably die if Arizona Iced Tea ever charged more than 99 cents per can.

Arizona Cherry Lime Rickey

So I didn’t get the memo, but apparently Arizona Iced Tea had their big 20th Anniversary in 2012 and released a special drink in commemoration. There was a consumer contest to design the can and another one to come up with the flavor. It’s kind of weird how two people can win a contest and still be losers. Anyway, that’s how we ended up with the Arizona 20th Anniversary Cherry Lime Rickey, a sparkling cherry lime flavored beverage in a can that looks like it was designed by a New York hippie. It tastes good, but I would never drink it on a regular basis. Luckily I don’t even have to worry about it because it’s a limited release.

Peace Iced Tea Sweet Lemon Tea

Peace Iced Tea or Peace Tea is a brand of iced teas made by the people who make Monster Energy drinks. They come in 23 oz cans and cost 99 cents. I got their Sweet Lemon Tea. It says that it’s 100% natural tea, with no artificial flavors, no preservatives, no artificial colors… that means it’s healthy because labels don’t lie. The cans are colorful and have artwork on them. My can of iced tea depicts the fall of the Berlin Wall. I don’t like it when my beverage goes political. Next time I’ll grab my usual Arizona Iced Tea and leave the Peace Tea for the hippies.
