Half Frozen Bottle of Water

I’m a big fan of ice cold water. It’s refreshing and invigorating and thirst quenching. I found a pretty useful life hack online a few months ago that allows me to have ice cold water whenever I want it. All you have to do is take a used bottle of water, fill it half way, lay it sideways in the freezer, and leave it alone for a few hours. Once the water is frozen, you open the bottle and fill it up the rest of the way. If you do it right, there will be ice on one side and water on the other. The ice makes the water cold instantly and keeps it chilled for hours. No muss, no fuss. I keep a half frozen bottle of water in the freezer at all times. It’s a cheap and easy way to impress thirsty guests when they come over. They think I’m smart and clever for coming up with it. I don’t tell them that I stole the idea from the internet. It’s not lying. It’s deceiving. There’s a difference.

The Core Is a Myth

I’m a fan of life hacks, those nifty little tricks that make you better at life. Like did you know that you were eating apples wrong your whole life? You probably take an apple, bite into the side of it, and work your way around until all you have left is the apple core. But that’s the wrong way to do it because the core is a myth. There is no core. Only seeds. And you can spit those out. You can eat the entire apple, save for the stem. Seriously. Watch the video below if you don’t believe me. Try it for yourself to verify. The core is a myth. You’ll never look at an apple the same way again.

Life Hacks

Life hacks are simple but clever tips and tricks to use in your everyday life. A lot of them involve solving a problem with a common object that you have lying around. For instance you can use a straw to core a strawberry, binder clips to organize cables and wires, or using a sheet of paper to make an impromptu CD case. Other life hacks show you how to use objects more efficiently, like tying extension cords together to keep them from pulling apart, peeling a banana from the bottom, and unrolling those disposable paper condiment cups for maximum dipping potential. And some life hacks are about creating culinary treats that are easy and delicious to make, like cooking cupcakes in ice cream cones, or pouring pancake batter over bacon to make bacon pancakes. The internet is full of life hacks. Some of them are more practical than others, but you need to be careful. Some of them don’t work, and some of them are totally fake and are intended to fuck with gullible minds. I’m telling you right now, you can’t charge your phone by nuking it in the microwave. You should check out life hacks if you have some time to kill. You might find a trick that will change your life.
