Beer, soda, and other fun fluids you put in your mouth.

Bud Light Lime

A typical American swill lager with a twist – a lime twist. My guess is that the trolls at Anheuser-Busch finally realized that Bud Light has no flavor. They decided that they would add lime, and so they did. It’s not a bad idea. It actually makes it taste less like water. I hope that Corona takes note and copies them. Bud Light still sucks though.

Orangina

Orangina is described as a sparkling citrus beverage with natural pulp. It is 12% juice and 2% pulp. Not that impressive for an orange drink. It really doesn’t taste that good. If you like this, try the orange San Pellegrino and forget about Orangina. And change the name already. It is too similar to orange vagina.

Lost Coast Great White

The Lost Coast Brewery from Eureka, CA makes some pretty good microbrews. This is their signature beer. It is a “light citrus beer with two-row malted barley, unmalted wheat, coriander, a secret blend of Humboldt herbs, crystal clear mountain water and ale yeast.” If you know anything about Humboldt, you know that Humboldt herbs are pretty chronic. Maybe that’s why this beer is even better when you are smoking a bowl. Take a fat hit, hold it, chug a little Great White, and exhale. Smooth and refreshing yes? Don’t tell my mom.

Stella Artois

A premium lager from Belgium, this is very smooth and drinkable. Better than Budweiser and a little classier than Heineken. It could potentially be the best lager in its class. I know some people who add a little ground pepper to it. It gives it a little kick and doesn’t fuck up the beer so try it out. You might just like it. If you are out on the town and want a Bud, but don’t want to order it, get this beer and after a few rounds, you will be enamored.

A&W Sparkling Vanilla Cream Soda

A&W might be better known for their root beer and cheese curds, but they also make a good cream soda. Cream soda is an underrated and often forgotten soda. It’s good though and it’s good for you (I can’t prove that, it just sounds good). If you see it at the store, get it and let your taste buds have fun. It has caffeine in it, and that’s always a bonus.

Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale

Kona Brewing Co. from Hawaii presents this decent pale ale. It is 6% alcohol so it’s stronger than most lagers, but on the weaker side of most pale ales. It is less bitter and lighter tasting than the majority of pale ales. It’s a good stepping stone to stronger tasting beers if you are too used to drinking Bud Light.

Coca-Cola Cherry

The classic cola with a cherry twist. First off this is Cherry Coke. I know it, you know it, the CEO of Pepsi knows it. There was no reason to have to rename it Coca-Cola Cherry. It doesn’t exactly flow off the tongue.

Coke is good, cherry flavor is good, combined they are very good. If it was available in glass bottles it would get a perfect score.

Pabst Blue Ribbon

Some people love PBR. Some people eat their boogers. This is your standard American swill lager. The label brags that it was voted America’s Best in 1893. That was a fucking long time ago. I can’t remember what happened 2 weeks ago. There is nothing spectacular about this beer. It is fully average in everyway.

Critically rated at 8.5/17. That’s exactly half right?

Kona Longboard Island Lager

The Kona Brewing Company is from Hawaii, and this is their most well known beer. It is a clear, light, golden color. Very crisp and refreshing taste, better than Budweiser and other common American style lagers. Look for it on tap or in glass bottles. This beer is a staple feature in their 12 bottle variety pack.

Kona Pipeline Porter

Kona Brewing Co. from Hawaii presents this porter made with 100% Hawaiian Kona coffee. This is a seasonal brew. Americans love seasonal things. It’s a girl scout cookie mentality. Pipeline porter is a nice brown ale brewed with real coffee, a nice beer to have with dessert. If you see it on tap, you should try it. If you see it in a Kona 12 bottle multipack, you have to get it. Try this beer. There is more to beer than Budweiser. Live a little, and sip this beer.

Coca-Cola Classic

The quintessential soda, this is America’s soda… No, this is the world’s soda. It is more than a soda pop. This is an icon. The logo and bottle shape are instantly recognizable by people from every country on every continent. Crisp, refreshing flavor, and the standard for colas everywhere.

The Coke chain of command goes:

Can < plastic bottle < soda fountain < glass bottle < Mexican glass bottle.

In Mexico they still use real sugar and none of that high fructose corn syrup that they use as sweetener in the US.

All Hail the King of Colas, the best Soda in the World, Now and Forever. Go to Hell Pepsi drinkers, you have lost the cola wars.

Coca-Cola Cherry Zero

Coke’s zero calorie cherry cola is one of the best diet sodas I’ve ever had. There is a slight aftertaste like most diet colas, but it is not as bad as most diet sodas. I don’t usually buy diet drinks but when I do, I usually grab this one.
