Rockstar Super Sours Green Apple Energy Drink

Rockstar Super Sours Green Apple Energy Drink is an energy drink that tastes like sour green apples. It’s only slightly sour, not super sour like it says in its name. That’s okay though, you don’t want your energy drink to taste super sour. I can’t decide if I like it or not. It tastes like somebody dropped a Warhead candy into a can of Rockstar. If that sounds good then you would probably like this. If it doesn’t then you should probably avoid this. It contains no juice, has 66 grams of sugar per 16-oz can, and includes delicious ingredients like pantothenic acid, niacinamide, inositol, pryidoxine, hydrochloride, and cyanocobalamin. Energy drinks are scary if you read the label. I’m not going to do that anymore.

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story is a Judd Apatow comedy about a fictional singer named Dewey Cox. John C. Reilly plays Dewey Cox, a gifted but dimwitted musician trying to create his masterpiece, a song that sums up everything he’s learned about life. It’s pretty much a direct parody of Walk the Line, but it also spoofs biopics in general.

Walk Hard begins with little Dewey Cox accidently cutting his brother in half, and his father spends the next few years reminding him that “the wrong kid died.” This childhood trauma propels Dewey’s desire to prove that he’s worth something and win his father’s approval. He’s a natural at the guitar and soon begins his rise to the top. The film follows Dewey’s life as a rockstar: meeting women, having kids, doing drugs, going to rehab, changing his sound to reflect the current decade, all that fun stuff.

The humor is not for everyone. I know people who can’t make it five minutes into the film without turning it off. Personally, I think it’s one of the funniest movies of the last ten years. There are a lot of absurd moments and intentionally horrible casting, but John C. Reilly is able to make Dewey seem like a real person. His lyrics might be stupid, but to him they’re sincere and more importantly they are consistent to his character. He’s a poet who uses terrible metaphors and believes in what he thinks he knows. And John C. Reilly actually sang all his songs.

There’s a great supporting cast and tons of cameos: Jenna Fischer, Kristen Wiig, Tim Meadows, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd, Jack Black, Justin Long, David Schwartzman, Frankie Muniz, Jack White, Eddie Vedder, the Temptations… the list goes on and on. I like this movie a lot. I still quote this movie more than I should. And I also bought the soundtrack. The iTunes exclusive extended edition in fact. I don’t regret it.

Rockstar Recovery Energy/Tea/Lemonade

For thousands of years there was just one main energy drink and it was called coffee. Then people created soda but that wasn’t enough and so we came up with energy drinks. And now everybody and their mom has their own line of energy drinks. Red Bull is the best energy drink, and Rockstar has a claim for second place. Rockstar has lots of different flavors and varieties and Rockstar Recovery Energy/Tea/Lemonade is one of their newer ones. It’s like an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade and half iced tea) but it has caffeine, taurine, ginseng, milk thistle, and electrolytes. Plus is only 10 calories so it’s just as healthy as water. You can drink it all day, everyday with no adverse effects. It has a slight aftertaste like most diet energy drinks, but a shot of vodka makes it unnoticeable.

Rockstar Energy Cola

You know that you need caffeine but can’t decide between an energy drink or a soda. That’s when you should grab a Rockstar Energy Cola. It’s a cola with extra energy. Look for the black label. It’s not as good as Coke obviously, but it’s better than Jolt or other similar amped-up colas. There’s no weird aftertaste or any other weird drawbacks. In fact it’s better than water and you can live off of it without any adverse health effects. It even reverses the aging process and can bring dead houseplants back to life.

Rockstar Roasted Coffee + Energy Mocha

This is a coffee flavored Rockstar energy drink. This ideal for mornings when you can’t decide between coffee or an energy drink. The mocha flavor gives you a little chocolate satisfaction as well. It tastes more like coffee than a Rockstar, so don’t be a baby and try it. It makes me really jittery, more so than other energy drinks.
